for me to be successful at photographing anything, it takes a very necessary piece of me, emotionally & physically. i have to step into the situation, be within the "scene." i must become part of the photograph, part of the environment. i need to feel & breathe like the subjects do. i do extensive research into every project i throw myself into.

to me these photographs represent parts of my life,

family, friends, challenges, love.

to take just a glimpse into

another world. that's what it means for me to be a photographer.
