Our first steps outside on the first day of the new year were fun, messy, adventurous, wild & free, exciting, snowy, fast & fun... After spending the night cuddling with each other, like best friends do, Sid and I went out in the snow for some frolicking and sniffing new smells and planting new pawprints... We went out to the side of the backyard towards the field, (where the deer were just a few minutes ago!!) and oh we sunk into the snow, up to our doggy knees! And of course we stick our doggy nose right down deep into it to make sure there are no hidden surprises that we may miss! And oh! The snow is light enough that we can RUN in it and not get stuck! Oh the fun of running in the powdery snow...Oh! and some new bushes...are those briars I acquired on my pretty snow-sweater? Oh well...none the bother...Oh STEPS! Where will they lead? Oh I feel like Alice in the Wonderland...Where am I going I may never know but Jes is right behind to rescue if need be! Oh and more prancing and sniffing & prancing...I smell this year is going to be spectacular! Can't wait to tell Ma & Pa about it!!
