seeing things from a new light/rather cloudy day...

so sitting out in the pebbles in the rain this weekend playng with the dogs, probably some of the most heart & soul nourishing time i’ve had in a while, okay -a long time. hugo trying to wash my entire face with his rough tongue, tobe s. trying desperately to get in a really good hug, little riley gates & bentley howling at the afternoon clouds. i am so grateful for all of this, all the friends i’ve made and continue to make. God has given me this job as a gift to share my love with those around me and for them to share their love and friendship with me!! these doggers are such beautiful, amazing, sometimes cranky, loving creatures i have ever known. when i stayed with the traveling/train-jumping kids in 2009, and the house was always full of dogs…now i REALLY understand why. i thought it was cause they’re great companions, great friends & great protectors, which are all true. But they also can see into your heart and love you like you, like anyone needs to be loved, they listen, they get to know you, as a person with a heart and soul. and vice versa. these may be the best friends i may ever have…

…and i am okay with that, scratch that, MORE than okay with that- i love it!!
